Pani Tademeti
Pani Tademeti manages the voluntary benefits program for the state of North Carolina and has the program grown from 727 participating members in 1995 to 161,551 in 2007. He is a native of Visakhapatnam, India. Pani was educated in India, earning an undergraduate degree in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, and postgraduate degrees in Personnel Management and Law. After coming to the United States, Pani continued his education at Wake Forest University’s Babcock School of Management, where he earned an MBA. Pani has been the Program Manager for NCFlex since March, 1995. Under Pani’s leadership, NCFlex has grown from 727 participating members in 1995 to 161,551 in 2007. Pani’s management style has been cost-effective, resulting in total program savings of more than 25 million dollars to date. Prior to his employment with the State of North Carolina, Pani’s experience included seven years with the Durham County Government and 12 years in human resource management with two multi-national companies in India. Pani is an active member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits, the International Association of Personnel Management, the American Association of Certified Public Managers and World at Work. Pani and his wife, Sunanda, have two daughters, Sri and Radhika.
