Clement Opare*
Clement Opare is an employee health and welfare specialist with over 17 years professional experience. Currently, he holds the position of Division Manager, Employee Health and Welfare at the African Development Bank (ADB). In this capacity Clement has responsibility for the ADB medical plan, a self-funding plan which he designed and implemented in 2003, as well as for health and wellness programs for the ADB’s 1,700 diverse staff. The medical plan has over 7,000 insured members most of whom are located in Tunisia and the ADB field offices in 25 African countries.
Clement holds both Master of Business and Master of Employee Relations degrees from Monash University, Melbourne Australia and is a certified member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). Prior to joining the ADB, he held senior human resources management positions in multinational organizations in Japan and Australia.
